The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) established a Community Coordination Team (CCT) on the US 89; Farmington to Interstate 84 project during design for local stakeholders to provide input throughout project design. The US 89 CCT continues through construction to ensure open dialogue and communication between local neighborhoods and project team. This team will also help the project team ensure we are hearing and incorporating public feedback throughout the nearby cities and the project team. The CCT team includes members representing neighborhoods, cities, and other interests across the project area. At the start of construction, CCT members developed criteria to evaluate the contractor’s performance. The contractor is evaluated at each meeting, scored on a scaled of 1 – 7. The member-developed criteria includes:
- Contractor Responsiveness
- Transparency
- Management of Traffic and Traffic Control Devices
- Project Safety
- Housekeeping and Site Cleanliness
CCT members play a crucial role in sharing information between the public and the project team. UDOT asks CCT members to serve as project partners by being a conduit of information between the project and the community.
This means CCT members will:
- Share information from the project team with the community
- Share feedback from the community with the project team
